# How is the LILATE officially recognized?

**LILATE® (LIVE LANGUAGE TEST)** is an adaptive certification designed to assess the real ability to use a foreign language in a professional context.

In some countries or for certain administrative procedures, a **legal proof of authenticity** of the certificate may be required.  
In this case, **only the candidate’s notary** must submit the verification request. The notary should contact us and attach the relevant certificate (showing both the photo and the QR code).

We will then confirm the **authenticity of the document** directly to the notary, allowing them to **apply their official stamp and signature** securely on the certificate.
