LILATE and Disability: How to Proceed?

It is possible to contact the LILATE disability support team, which makes the LILATE accessible to as many people as possible. Many accommodations are possible if we are informed in advance. You will find all the useful information on this page.

If you are in a situation of disability or a health issue prevents you from taking the LILATE under the conditions described on our site, we adapt our assessment to your specific needs.

Consideration of Disability Situations

Taking the test via a videoconferencing system allows us to adapt to potential barriers related to a motor disability, particularly mobility issues. Additionally, during candidate registration, they or their partner are asked if they have a disability and, if so, to provide details.

If this is the case, an appointment is scheduled by the person in charge of disability support for personalized assistance.

This support may include:

  • Pre-test equipment checks
  • Assistance with booking
  • Support during the test

In all cases, the examiner is informed in advance of the situation and the accommodations implemented to consider the candidate's disability.

Steps to Follow for a LILATE Accessibility Request

Please note that it is essential not to schedule a test without first contacting our teams. To do this, please contact the LILATE Customer Service by referring to the dedicated article: Customer Service Contact Information and specify:

Which accommodations are you requesting?

  • Testing your equipment (headset, webcam)
  • Presence of a communication interface (interpreter)
  • Assistance from a secretary/third party (reading or writing by dictation)
  • Implementation of a break

If none of the above accommodations suit your situation, you can make a request for a specific accommodation.

The accommodation of the evaluation for candidates with disabilities does not affect the result or the validity of the LILATE Certification.

Supporting Documents

The following documents are not mandatory but can help us better address your disability. Thus, if you can attach the following documents to your request:

  • MDPH or CDAPH certificate for exam accommodations.
  • Recognition as a Disabled Worker accompanied by a medical certificate specifying the recommended accommodation measures.
  • Medical opinion issued by the University Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion Service.
  • Notification of exam accommodations issued by the school doctor.

Implementation Timeframe

Please allow up to 5 days for the setup of an adapted exam session.
