LILATE Profile Picture: What Are the Guidelines to Follow?
Before taking your LILATE exam, you must provide a compliant profile picture. This photo is essential: it will be used to confirm your identity on the day of the test and will appear directly on your certificate.
Here is everything you need to know to upload a compliant photo and ensure the validity of your certification.
When should I upload my profile picture?
During your first login to the candidate portal to set up your exam, a profile picture will be requested at step 4:
If you already have a photo on your computer:
- Click on the "Upload your photo" button and upload it.
If you don't have a photo:
- Take one directly with your webcam by clicking on "Take a photo with your camera."
- Position yourself correctly in the frame and click on "Take a photo."
- If the result is unsatisfactory, click on "Retry" to take a new one.
- Once satisfied, click on "Validate your photo."
What are the criteria for my photo to be compliant?
To be accepted, your photo must strictly adhere to the following criteria:
✅ Centered on your uncovered face
✅ Good quality (not blurry, not pixelated)
✅ In color
✅ Professional (avoid selfies, vacation photos, etc.)
✅ Taken from the front (no profile or angle)
✅ On a neutral background
❌ Do not take a photo of your ID card, nor a photo of a printed photo.
Example of a compliant photo:
Why do I need to provide a compliant photo?
Your photo is used to verify your identity. Without a compliant photo, your LILATE certificate cannot be issued.
When and by whom is my photo validated?
Your photo will be validated by your examiner in the very first minutes of the test, during the identity verification process. This is why you can modify your photo as many times as necessary until the exam starts.
⚠️ Once the test has started, any photo modification will require an exceptional validation procedure by the LILATE teams.
